My Project
My students are curious, creative, and eager to connect with the past in meaningful ways. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of perspectives to the classroom. Many of them learn best through hands-on, project-based activities, and I strive to make history feel real and relevant to their lives.
This project will fund a 3D printer for our history classroom and with this tool, students will be able to design and print models of ancient artifacts, historical landmarks, and even tools or weapons from different eras.
For example, during our unit on Ancient Egypt, students could recreate canopic jars or the pyramids of Giza. When studying the Roman Empire, they might print architectural models like the Colosseum or aqueducts. For U.S. history, they could design and print Revolutionary War-era items or Native American tools.
This kind of hands-on learning makes abstract concepts tangible and helps students retain information longer. It also encourages problem-solving, design thinking, and collaboration—skills they’ll need far beyond the classroom.
I am requesting a 3D printer that is reliable, easy to use, and classroom-friendly. History is more than just names and dates—it's the story of humanity. This 3D printer and printing pen will help my students see and touch the past, making it come alive in a way textbooks and lectures can't. Your support will give my students access to 21st-century tools to explore the past like never before.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
