My Project

My students are incredible individuals, each with unique strengths and abilities. They approach the world with curiosity and resilience. Their learning needs are special and diverse, challenged more so in a hospitalized setting, but with the right resources, they can continue to engage with the world in meaningful ways. The materials I’m requesting are designed to meet those needs - helping students explore, communicate, and learn in ways that are both enjoyable and supportive of their individual journeys.

Help me bring the world of technology and sensory learning to students who deserve every opportunity to engage and grow, no matter the setting.

The iPads will serve as a powerful tool for providing personalized, interactive learning experiences that allow students to access lessons, communicate, and explore new ideas in a way that’s adaptable to their unique needs. The accessories, like protective cases, will ensure that the devices are safe and accessible, so the students can enjoy using them without worry. These resources not only create a bridge to education but also offer opportunities for emotional and social connection through engaging with the world around them, especially when many may feel isolated.

The impact of these materials goes far beyond just learning; they support the development of vital communication skills and foster a sense of accomplishment and joy. With these tools, students will be able to express themselves in new ways, whether through touch, sound, or visual interaction. They will have access to resources that allow them to connect with others, learn about the environment, and find moments of joy during their hospital stays.
