This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi! I am a kindergarten special education teacher in an ICT (inclusion) classroom in a Title I school in the Bronx. My students face poverty, language barriers, disabilities, and other challenges, but that doesn't stop them from wanting to learn and achieve. My class is a loving, curious, and funny bunch of kids. I can't stress how much I miss seeing their faces every day.

I have to say how proud I am of my class' attempts to successfully engage in remote learning.

My students (and their parents) are doing their best to sign onto live meetings daily and turn in assignments, but there are still many obstacles. My students lack the supplies to set up their own classroom at home.

Please consider helping to keep my students engaged and active in their learning. It's hard not to be at school with their friends and teachers. These materials will go a long way to brightening their days and helping their remote learning.

My Project

Hi! Remote learning is hard on everyone, but it's especially hard on the little ones who may not have everything they need at home.

Please help send my kindergarten students basic school supplies to help the already fantastic remote learning they are already doing.

With these materials, my students can work alongside us in our live meetings. They can get real hands-on practice instead of just through a tablet or computer screen.

A care package like this would go along way with brightening their day and encouraging them not to give up on learning.
