My Students
During the summer, our school is filled with educators who primarily work with students with autism. Last summer was my first time teaching "summer school," and I had a blast! These children are bright, loving, and hard-working. They are bused in from all areas of Staten Island and they come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all share one common interest: getting a quality of education. With this project, I hope to give them a summer learning experience that they'll never forget!
My Project
We'd like to host the Harlem MagicMasters at our school this summer! The Harlem MagicMasters are incredible athletes who visit schools to help kids make good choices. Our kids would be so excited to see them in action!
It would be incredible to have Harlem MagicMasters come to our school to share positive messages with our students through their motivational speaking.
According to their brochure, the program I'm requesting is a "free-style show that will be entertaining to campers of ALL ages. Tricks & slam dunks, along with audience participation. After each (30-35) minute show the MagicMasters will talk to the campers about the importance of staying in school, “just say no” to drugs and alcohol." Your donation would help us have a memorable summer learning experience!
