My classroom library is a place where students are able to enjoy reading books independently. Every student book that is placed in my library will be treated with love and care, and they will be grateful to have an opportunity of different choices to choose from. All of these books have been chosen with the help of my students filling out a reading interest survey. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books to read independently at their own grade level. Also be able to choose books that interest them.
The best way to increase students reading ability and build their fluency is to read more, and these books will continue to provide the support needed to become better readers.
My students loves reading and have taken initiative to read independently when their parents are able to take them to the library. This project will help enrich their experiences and build vocabulary with the printed words they will come in contact with when reading.
