This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Throughout the school, year I ask my students what books do they wish they could have in our library. This year, their wish list was long and varied. To many of my students, finding the right book can be a struggle, and reading can seem like a chore. I want to change that and give them the books they want to read.
They know what will bring them reading joy!
If I can bring them their wish list books, I know that they will be excited to check out their books and share their reading adventures with their peers. I hope to change their mindset of, reading is a chore, to reading is a joy!
