Help me give my students a love for reading and social skills with Elephant and Piggie books and fun finger puppets that make storytime interactive, engaging, and meaningful!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My project focuses on bringing Elephant and Piggie books and finger puppets into our classroom to support early literacy and social-emotional learning. I love how enthusiastic and imaginative my students are—they light up when stories come to life! Elephant and Piggie’s playful stories teach valuable lessons about friendship, empathy, and emotions in a way young learners understand. Finger puppets will make read-alouds interactive, helping students build comprehension, expression, and communication skills. These resources will turn reading time into an engaging, hands-on experience, inspiring a love of books and helping students connect with stories in meaningful and memorable ways.
