My Project
Our students in East Oakland are some of the most passionate, resilient, and bright young minds you'll ever meet. Though they may not have access to every opportunity, what they do have is an unshakable hunger for learning, deep compassion, and a powerful drive to grow.
Right now, these amazing scholars are diving into a collaborative reading project where, in small groups, they’ve each selected a story to explore together.
After thoughtfully researching summaries, they chose books that spoke to them — stories they can connect with and learn from. They’re now analyzing, discussing, and preparing to write meaningful book reviews, showcasing their voice, insight, and creativity.
Their excitement for this mid-fall project is contagious — but to bring it fully to life, we need your support. Whether it’s providing books, materials, or simply cheering them on, every bit helps make their dreams a reality.
Thank you for believing in our students. Your generosity means the world to them — and to all of us.
