I teach high school students Statistics and Geometry in a high-need community. My school focuses on preparing students for college and real-world experiences.
This is my school's first year with a Statistics curriculum and I do not have anything to hook the students on the subject. We need another access point for students who do not understand the general study of Statistics and Probability.
By reading an engaging book about Statistics I can reach students who may not have been interested in math before. Students will have another view of the subject which will deepen their understanding as well as open up doors to more questions. Reading a book together will provide for in-depth discussions about the math that we see every day in the news and in research.
Your donation will make it possible for students to connect reading and math, two of the most important topics. These connections will last a life time.
