Bringing Stars Into Our Classroom: Spectral Analysis for the Universe
Help me give my students spectral analysis for the solar system with tubes that allow students to analyze the elements in the early solar system.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Jorgensen's classroom raised $747

My Project
Earth and Space Science Students are asked to learn about the distribution of elements in the early universe. To help students learn and experience how this is done a spectrum tube power supply and examples of spectrum's of elements are a wonderful way for students to learn. This project would have ongoing effect as the tools and supplies are durable and will likely last for 5 years or more and be used year to year as students learn Earth and Space Science.
Purchasing a spectrum tube power supply and spectrum tubes will open the ways to the stars for Earth and Space Science Students.
Students will be able to actually analyze the spectrum that are given off by stars and galaxies and to analyze the elements in the various tubes to allow them the very same experience professional astronomers use to analyze our universe.
