My students need a Butterfly Nursery, Life Cycle Sequencing Kit, From Caterpillar to Butterfly Big Book Activity Kit, Monarch Butterfly Read-Along, Butterfly Shapes Instant Craft Kit, Scratch Art Design Tools and Ink Cartridges.
My students are 5 and 6 year olds who attend a Title I school. We are a Title I school, because 80% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My students come from low income families, where there is often only one parent working in the household. Even though my students come from a low economic environment, they are still very eager to learn. My students are really curious about everything that comes into our classroom and they enjoy learning and exploring.
My Project
My project is asking for supplies so I can incorporate Science into the Arts for my students. My students will be able to make scratch art butterflies on their own and they will work in groups to design a butterfly with art tools. They will also, be able to watch the life cycle of a butterfly in action. How exciting!! Also, they will have a big book of activities on butterflies and they can listen to the life cycle of a monarch butterfly on CD. And they will have to write and draw the stages of a butterfly in their own book that will be printed out on the printer.
My students need these supplies to make a STEAM connection between science and the arts.
They need a butterfly nursery, butterfly shapes instant craft kit and scratch art design tools, life cycle sequencing kit, a caterpillar to butterfly big book activity kit, monarch butterfly read-along books and ink cartridges.
Without the help of generous donors like you, we can not afford even the most basic supplies to make the connection of science into the arts. Please help my classroom get the supplies we need for a successful integration of learning.
