My Project

At our middle school, we're on a mission to build a captivating narrative nonfiction section in our library, and we need your help. While my students eagerly devour fiction, I know that some of the most thrilling and inspiring stories are rooted in reality. Narrative nonfiction, a genre that blends the excitement of storytelling with factual accuracy, is the perfect bridge to get our students excited about reading real-world topics.

We want to fill our shelves with books that tell the true stories of remarkable people, explain scientific discoveries in an accessible way, and explore historical events through a compelling, human lens.

These are books that read like a page-turning novel but are packed with information about everything from the deep sea to the stars, from the lives of groundbreaking inventors to untold tales of survival. These books do more than just entertain; they foster a lifelong curiosity and help students become critical thinkers who can evaluate information and form their own opinions.

By donating to our project, you're not just buying books; you're opening up a world of knowledge and inspiration for our students. You're helping us create a collection that proves truth can be stranger, more adventurous, and more meaningful than fiction. Together, we can build a library where every student can find a story—both real and imagined—that sparks their passion for reading and learning.
