My Project
We are a public school in an inner city district with diverse, multiple language learners. Many scholars are warm, loving, and continually searching for ways to grow and become better each day. I am honored to teach such wonderful children. My scholars are eager to learn, excel, and connect the curriculum. To increase student engagement in reading, fluency and comprehension, I have started to implement Reader's Theater.
The cricut would allow the students to individualize their puppets or make simple costumes for their characters from their Reader's Theater scripts.
Reluctant readers have begun wanting to read more and become more engaged in the lesson.
