Help me give my students soft seats (4 sets ) of 6 colors to allow them to sit comfortably during circle time, and also 22 heavy-duty mild-sleeved adjustable vinyl paint aprons as they become artistically creative.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students that I have delays in at least two areas of development. They may have Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, etc. We are a Title I school that serves students of low-income families.
The majority of our students receive free breakfast and reduced and/or free lunch.
They have limited resources and will greatly benefit from the use of resources and materials that will help them in the areas of communication, social-emotional, and cognitive as well as others depending on their individual needs. These materials will maximize their education and allow them to grasp the concept of the world around them and abroad.
My Project
The Soft Seats I am requesting for my students will allow them to sit and engage comfortably during morning greeting, rhyme time as well as other morning activities during circle time. The students will also benefit from the use of art materials such as the Heavy Duty Mid-Sleeved Adjustable Vinyl Paint Apron for it will allow the students to explore mixing colors without worrying and losing focus on their creation and enjoying the learning process. Easel and paint brushes, art paper, and other art supplies will allow them to explore and enhance their love of art and creativity.
Creating and engineering how roads, structures and block play traffic signs, will be constructed and placed together then use the community block play people, and various vehicles as seen in their own our community will allow our students the opportunity to bring their creativity to life as they imagine it.
By collaborating with their peers, using spatial sense they will celebrate and enjoy the final outcome.
The students will also have the opportunity to use the materials from the doctor's office as they pretend to be doctors taking care of one another, by using the stethoscope and make sure that all is well. They will also use their math skills with the magnetic fishing rod and fish as they pretend to go fishing and then count how many were caught after a long day of work. In addition, they may also practice the use of their fine motor skills and math skills by using the nuts about counting material as they twist and count. Your generous donation will benefit my students in many developmental areas as they work together, and enjoy their own creativity while fostering the joy of learning through play.
