Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom library is full of engaging picture books and chapter books that support both independent reading and research projects. However, without a clear organization system, students often struggle to find the books they need—and to return them to the right spot. That’s why I’m requesting sturdy book bins in two different sizes to help organize our library by genre.
With your support, I will label each bin by genre—such as mystery, fantasy, nonfiction, historical fiction, and more—so that students can quickly and confidently find books they are interested in.
Having both large and small bins will allow us to store everything from tall picture books to smaller chapter books, making our library more accessible for all readers.
A well-organized library helps create a structured classroom environment, where students can work more independently, stay on task, and build responsibility. By investing in this project, you’re helping our young readers become more self-sufficient, engaged, and excited about reading.
