Bringing Music Back: Inspiring Young Learners Through Rhythm & Song!

Help me give my students a variety of hands-on musical instruments, movement props, and engaging resources to bring music education back to our school and provide a creative, enriching experience for our youngest learners.

My Project

I teach at a small, rural school where our youngest learners (PreK-6th grade) don’t currently have access to music classes due to budget constraints. Despite this, my students are bright, curious, and full of energy—they love to sing, move, and explore new ways to learn. I want to bring music back into their education by offering a weekly music class filled with hands-on instruments, movement activities, and engaging lessons.

With the resources I’m requesting—rhythm sticks, egg shakers, tambourines, scarves, and more—my students will develop rhythm, coordination, and a love for music through active participation.

These tools will allow them to explore sound, beat, and melody in a way that is fun and meaningful. A portable speaker will help us incorporate singalongs, movement songs, and guided activities, making music accessible to all learners.

My goal is to create a joyful, inclusive music program where every child can express themselves, build confidence, and develop foundational music skills. My students are special because they come from a tight-knit community where opportunities like this are rare. With your support, we can give them the gift of music and a chance to experience the joy of creativity and self-expression!
