Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students’ curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to grow as learners. Many of them face challenges in math, but they thrive when given the right tools and support. They are hands-on learners who benefit from visual and interactive instruction.
A working document camera will make a significant difference in their learning by allowing me to model problem-solving strategies in real time, display student work for discussion, and provide step-by-step guidance that keeps everyone engaged.
Instead of struggling to see small details on a whiteboard, my students will have a clear, up-close view of math concepts, making it easier for them to follow along and participate actively.
My goal for this project is to create a more interactive and accessible learning environment where every student feels supported and confident in their ability to succeed. With a functioning document camera, I can bring lessons to life, encourage collaboration, and help my students bridge learning gaps more effectively.
What makes my students special is their perseverance and willingness to tackle challenges head-on. Many of them are working below grade level, but they show up every day ready to learn. They deserve the best resources to help them succeed, and this project will provide a crucial tool to support their growth in math and beyond.
