Bringing Math to Life Through 3D Printing and Design
Help me give my students a 3D printer to explore measurement, scale, and engineering through hands-on math projects that spark creativity, deepen understanding, and bring abstract concepts to life in tangible ways.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine a classroom where students don’t just solve math problems on paper—they bring those numbers to life. With the addition of a 3D printer, my students will have the opportunity to engage with math and measurement concepts in a hands-on, tangible way. This project is about more than just technology; it’s about transforming abstract ideas into real-world understanding.
I teach a diverse group of students who thrive when given opportunities to create, explore, and build.
Many of them are visual and kinesthetic learners who benefit from manipulating physical objects to deepen their understanding of mathematical principles such as geometry, scale, volume, and proportion. A 3D printer will allow us to design and print models that support key math standards—whether it’s printing custom rulers, scale models of buildings, geometric shapes, or prototypes related to real-world problem-solving.
This tool will also support cross-curricular learning. Students can integrate their math knowledge into science, technology, and art projects, enhancing their ability to think critically and work collaboratively. Whether they’re calculating the dimensions of a bridge or adjusting the scale of a printed object, students will use math in meaningful, memorable ways.
Your support will help us purchase a reliable, classroom-friendly 3D printer, filament, and basic tools to maintain it. This investment in our classroom will empower students to become designers, engineers, and creative thinkers—all while mastering essential math skills.
Thank you for considering a donation to our classroom. Your generosity helps bring innovation and opportunity to students who are ready to build, measure, and grow—one layer at a time.
