This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a bilingual teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how much my students benefit from visual and hands-on learning—especially in math. Unfortunately, we didn’t have many math manipulatives in the classroom this past school year, which made it harder for some students to fully grasp abstract concepts.

This project will provide essential tools to help my students succeed.

The math manipulatives will give them a concrete way to explore and understand new ideas. The classroom easel will be placed next to our smartboard so we can annotate, model, and explain thinking clearly during lessons. A standing desk for my laptop and document camera will help me project student work and teacher models in real time—creating more interactive and engaging lessons.

I’m also including a $100 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, which will allow me to purchase high-quality bilingual and differentiated materials throughout the school year. This flexibility is incredibly helpful for meeting the unique needs of my students as the year progresses.

Additionally, I’m requesting basic items like cleaning wipes (which we went without this year), a visual timer to support time management and focus, and small motivational gifts to celebrate effort and progress when students need a little boost.

Every item in this project has been thoughtfully chosen to support my students’ learning, confidence, and growth. Thank you for considering a donation to our classroom!
