My students need math centers and manipulatives to have hands-on experiences so that they can learn to count, add and subtract with fluency.

My Students
I teach kindergarten at a public school with 50% of students below the poverty line. Many of my students are English Language Learners. Our classroom is a diverse group of learners from many different countries including: Cameroon, Ghana, Ethiopia, The Dominican Republic , Jamaica and Togo. We love to learn and can't wait to be life long learners. School is fun for us. I would like to get some math learning centers to help my students learn math concepts with manipulatives.
My Project
Math manipulatives are fun and exciting. They turn the learning of basic math concepts into games rather than boring pencil paper tasks. The manipulatives and center resources will help my students to learn in a hands on way. Students will be able to learn topics such as addition while physically moving counters to make a whole set, measuring actual objects. The math games will give the students sturdy games that reinforce the content that I am teaching. These materials will really help to bring the abstract concepts to life. Please consider donating to my project and make math more exciting for my Kindergartners.
