My Project
I currently teach high school English and a class for future educators called Teacher Cadet. So often, students create detailed, intricate, unique, and colorful projects on the computer--projects that not only deserve to be seen by others but also work as tools to help reinforce major concepts being taught. While I want so badly to display their hard work all across my classroom walls, I am limited to black-and-white ink printers, and therefore, their work goes unnoticed by everyone but myself. Additionally, with my future educators, many of the assignments they work to complete are tasks that us teachers complete daily like lesson plans, PowerPoints, handouts, worksheets, guided notes, and posters. They utilize tools like Canva and bring their visions to life, but then their creativity is forced to stop there. Having access to a color printer gives my students opportunities to see their hard work displayed in its original, beautiful form and will allow creativity to thrive in my classroom.
