This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a community of diverse learners with the mindset that they can achieve, no matter their limitations. Working in a Title I school, our students have a lot of disadvantages when it comes to school success with factors out of their control. Our school is a safe space for many students and when the pandemic shut down their safe space, it impacted them in so many ways. Another factor out of their realm of control caused the achievement gap in our students to widen. These resources will not only help bridge the learning gap, but also bring joy back into their learning day with interactive games and opportunities to celebrate their diversity and appreciate others. We are also building our community through crafts that will inspire us everyday to find the joy!
