Bringing Journalism to Life: Help Launch Our Student Newsroom!

Help me give my students cameras, a vlogging kit, and essential gear to create a school newspaper, conduct interviews, and broadcast news. Your support empowers students to report, write, and produce media!

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and full of ideas. They are eager to tell stories, capture moments, and share their perspectives with the world. They will learn how to write news articles, conduct interviews, and create digital and print publications in our new journalism class. However, we are starting from scratch and need essential equipment to bring their storytelling to life.

By donating to our class, you will be helping students build confidence in their writing and technical skills, as well as preparing them for future opportunities in journalism and media.

To help them develop real-world journalism skills, we need vlogging kits, digital cameras, and tripods. The Vlogging Kit will allow students to record high-quality interviews and news segments with proper lighting, audio, and stability. The 4K digital cameras will help students take professional photos for our school newspaper and yearbook, capturing events and student life with clarity and detail. With WiFi-enabled cameras, students can easily transfer photos and videos for editing and publishing.

These tools will make a huge difference in their learning. Students will gain hands-on experience with multimedia reporting, learning how to compose compelling images, record interviews, and create engaging digital content.

My goal is to provide students with the resources they need to become effective storytellers, critical thinkers, and digital creators. Many of my students come from a lower-income community, and this class gives them a platform to share their voices while learning valuable 21st-century skills. With your support, they will have the tools to bring our school’s stories to life and develop skills that can shape their futures.
