My Students

My students are truly one in a million. Most of my students are from disadvantaged homes where they face poverty, broken families, and more. However, my students truly show me what it means for beauty to rise from ashes.

Every day, my students come to school with huge smiles, love, and an eagerness to learn.

They have a passion for life and great inquiry about the world, because many of them have not had the opportunities to go beyond their small towns. Even though I am the teacher, my students constantly teach me lessons about life.

We are a family, we are a team, and we are blessed by one another.

My Project

I want to create a makerspace for my classroom so that students may apply their imagination and creativity to their learning. This would be an area for students to design projects or create works of art to demonstrate their knowledge.

Many of my students are kinesthetic-tactile learners who thrive in artistic expression.

This makerspace would bring the arts back into the classroom which, I feel, is critical in education. Even more so, students need the opportunity for imaginative play regardless of their grade.

Many of my students do not have these supplies at home to channel their imagination, creativity, fine motor skills, or learning. Thank you for helping provide a unique, engaging learning experience to my classroom!
