This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am incredibly blessed to be the teacher of 35 creative, compassionate, curious, eager learners! They are a phenomenal group of students who are excellent in every way! Many in our classroom families must hurdle the challenges of attention deficit, self-confidence, English acquisition, dysgraphia, specific learning disabilities, anxiety, and Autism. excellent

Despite challenges, my 5th-grade students look forward to a new school year bringing with them tremendous creativity, potential, willingness to take risks, and enthusiasm that is contagious!

My students engage in inquiry, problem-solving, and collaboration. Current technology is the vehicle needed, though, to bring our classroom to life! I'm excited to share all of the interactive and virtual lessons I've spent all summer planning for them.

My Project

We learn through a transdisciplinary approach. We know reading, writing, and social studies interdependently. Students analyze primary sources, write journals, letters, and essays, and even travel beyond the classroom walls through virtual experiences on the web. Their experiences, though, are hindered by outdated computers that are not capable anymore of opening today's applications, presentations, programs, and the Internet in general. Purchasing new HP laptops would help more students access innovative educational resources, network with experts in social studies fields, travel virtually to different places and eras, and engage in educational applications for practice. In additions, students will be able to engage in the writing process during our Writers' Workshop session. Thanks to everyone who has helped fund projects in the past and those of you currently supporting our learning.
