Bringing Healthy Back

Help me give my students the opportunity to get a head start on learning about anatomy/physiology and making healthy choices. By providing the materials such as, the human body model, books and games.

My Project

While wrapping up my 3rd year as a school nurse, I have decided I would like to incorporate more items about the human body and health into student's daily visits. I recently learned that there is no curriculum for elementary aged children for health and wellness. Next year I would like to have more posters, activities, display items for students to read, or partake in, while waiting in my office, that educate about the human body and healthy choices. Each week, I plan on having a trivia question for student's to answer and at the end of the week draw a few winners to receive a small prize.

Children are our future and we need to bring back healthy by providing them the educational materials and content to do so.

By introducing these topics in elementary school it not only positively impacts their own health and wellness, but could pave the road for their future careers.
