it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, resilient, and full of potential. They come to class each day ready to learn, and they shine the most when given the opportunity to explore math in ways that are hands-on and connected to the real world. What makes them special is their ability to think critically and collaborate, even when faced with challenging concepts. Many of them dream of careers in engineering, design, and technology, and I want to give them the tools to start exploring those paths now.
A 3D printer will bring our geometry lessons to life and open up new possibilities for learning.
Instead of just seeing shapes on paper, students will be able to design, create, and hold the geometric models they study. This will deepen their understanding of spatial reasoning, surface area, volume, and mathematical relationships. My goal for this project is to enhance engagement, make abstract concepts tangible, and give students exposure to cutting-edge technology that prepares them for the future. With your support, my classroom can become a space where math and creativity intersect—and where students feel inspired to learn, explore, and dream big.
