Bringing Diverse Books to Our Diverse School

Help me give my students at school a variety of diverse books representing them!

My Project

Please help me update my school's library with books that highlight a variety of different cultures that represent our school's students' diversity. Kids love stories, and their eyes light up when they can identify with characters that look and talk like them. It's so exciting when children read about similarities and differences that inspire them to make connections to both their own lives and the lives of their classmates.

It's important to teach young students to respect and celebrate each other.

These stories can introduce different cultural aspects, offer new experiences and viewpoints, and teach children to appreciate their similarities and differences, and to respect one another.

I'm hoping through filling our school's library with more diverse books, we can learn to celebrate our uniqueness. I feel it will also help us build a special community within our school.
