Bringing Digital Learning into the Classroom

Help me give my students the chance to shorten the digital divide, while bravely learning in a Face to Face school environment through this pandemic.

My Students

A lot of teachers shy away from teaching 5th graders. They think they are difficult, too grown, and have too much attitude. I find them to be the complete opposite of that description.

Fifth graders are responsible and independent young adults; they are at an age where they are still impressionable.

I love teaching fifth grade because I am able to teach the curriculum and life lessons.

My Project

These Chromebooks will be used with the students in my classroom so that they are able to take advantage of digital media and programs. The county I teach in is not one to one with technology for students. A lot of the technology at the school went to students who have opted to learn virtually. These Chromebooks will give my in-person students the same opportunities.

The students would be able to work collaboratively on a project, complete and submit assignments digitally, or take a virtual field trip.

I could pull other students to give them personalized instruction.
