My Project
My Students
My chemistry students are curious, hands-on learners who thrive when they can see science in action.
They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of experiences to the classroom, but they all share an excitement for discovery. Many of them have never had the opportunity to engage with chemistry beyond a textbook, and I want to provide them with an immersive, visual learning experience that makes science more accessible and exciting.
Chemistry is a subject best learned through observation and hands-on experimentation, but not every student can gather around a lab bench to see reactions up close. With a document camera, I can project real-time demonstrations onto a screen, ensuring that every student has a front-row seat to exciting chemical reactions, detailed lab techniques, and microscopic observations.
This tool will allow me to break down complex concepts by showing step-by-step demonstrations, magnify small details that are often missed, and engage students who learn best through visual instruction. It will also allow me to record lessons for students who need to review material at their own pace, providing valuable reinforcement.
With this project, I want to make chemistry more engaging and accessible to all students, no matter where they are seated.
Provide a clear, magnified view of experiments and demonstrations, improving comprehension of abstract concepts. Encourage curiosity and critical thinking by allowing students to see scientific processes in real-time.
Support students with different learning styles, especially those who benefit from visual instruction and repetition.
This project will transform my chemistry classroom by making science come alive. It will help my students develop a deeper understanding of chemistry concepts, inspire them to ask questions, and build their confidence in scientific exploration.
