it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a school Social Worker in a South Bronx middle school seeking funding for cursive writing practice books to teach my students how to properly write in cursive.
My students are very technology savvy but the lost art of cursive writing is a skill they need to learn.
At our school students complete their class work and homework on laptop devices. In their free time, they spend they are texting and typing on their phones. They lack the skills to sign documents, write checks, and other times when cursive writing or a signature is needed.
Having workbooks for my students to practice the cursive writing lessons that I will be teaching them will set them up for success when a digital option is not possible.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
