My Project

Imagine trying to teach the magic of Van Gogh’s swirling night skies or the vibrant colors of Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits using a dim, dull screen that barely shows the details. That’s the reality in my art classroom right now. Our current smart board no longer works as intended, and the outdated projection is so faded it’s impossible for students to truly see the colors or textures of the art we’re studying. When I model techniques or play process videos, the images are blurry and hard to follow, making it difficult for students to connect with the lesson—or with their own creativity.

A working smart panel would change everything, allowing students to see art the way it’s meant to be experienced: bright, clear, and full of detail.

My students could dive into digital lessons, zoom in on brushstrokes, and even present their own work using interactive tools. This isn’t just about technology; it’s about leveling the playing field for my English language learners and special education students who rely on clear visuals to fully engage. It’s about making art accessible and exciting for every student in my room.
