This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For first-grade writers to incorporate art into their writing. By providing students with watercolors, markers, construction paper and a few other supplies is a fun and engaging way to foster creativity and imagination. Helping young writers learn to add meaningful art to their writing while expressing their stories.

The goal of adding art to 1st graders' writing is to enhance their creativity, imagination, and self-expression with art materials to allow students another form of expression building their literacy and language skills.

Integrating art with writing can be a powerful tool to make the learning process more enjoyable and engaging for young learners, by supplying the resources needed for our low-income students.
