My Students
Have you ever been enamored by a video of someone diving into a beautiful blue ocean? Do you remember watching Schoolhouse Rock? Rocking your head to the beat, tapping your foot to keep up, and singing that catchy tune?
My students are amazing!
In fifth grade they are still young enough to be kids and be silly, but they also have the capabilities to be deep thinkers and converse on a higher level. They are giving to each other, myself, and the community. They are appreciative, hard working, smart, and hilarious!
My students have great imaginations. They can look at still pictures, close their eyes and imagine. Being able to watch a video would take the experience to a new level.
My Project
The technology in our classroom could definitely use an upgrade. Donors Choose is a great resource (and blessing) for us to get the technology needed for our classroom. The current TV we have is dated. We can watch the morning school news broadcast, but just barely. We were gifted a VCR/DVD combo, but we are unable to use it with this television. My students need a television to bring us into this century!
I love showing my students Schoolhouse Rock, war reenactments, colonial living, space and ocean explorations, and more.
The requested television would allow me to do so today, tomorrow, and ten years from now!
