My Project

Our high school students juggle internships, academic coursework, and the challenges of everyday life. For many, this includes responsibilities such as work, children, mental health struggles, addiction, food insecurity, and unstable housing.T o help them manage this, I hope to fill our school library with fun items like yoyos, puzzles, kendamas, juggling balls, Rubik's cubes, and games. These items will create a space where students can take a break, unwind, laugh, learn new skills, and activate a different part of their brains. While we are limited in the ways that we can love and support our students, I believe that play is a powerful way to promote healing, build connections, and bring joy to their lives.
