Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year my students and I will continue to explore our science curriculum through the lens of project-based learning, supported by data, evidence, reasoning, and a hands-on approach to learning science.
As such we require the necessary science tools and measuring devices to support our students in understanding and analyzing those concepts which we currently do not have.
We need a Corning Hot Plate (120 V).
Our science laboratory was built in the 80s and currently has no access to any means of producing heat as gases/open flames are not allowed. We are a Title-I school and most of my students have limited experience in a laboratory setting.
My goal is for students to have hot plates and other scientific tools as safe and modern means to explore our experiments involving chemistry, energy, density, and so much more!
