Please help my English language learners. They are trying so hard to learn the English language. We do not have the technology available in the classroom for them to have visual and vocal aides that correspond to the curriculum. I feel that they are at a disadvantage without these tools.
My students are Polish and Spanish speaking students.
They are trying to acquire the English language while having to keep up to the state and city test requirements. I feel that they are confused because of the language barrier and often feel deflated when a test or state requirement comes up. They really try to do their best.
My Project
With the IPOD touches my students will be able to work with bilingual units that match what the city and or state curriculum mandates. It will allow them to learn incorporating technology into there everyday learning day. My students will be able to hear and see words, books, and classwork in their language while learning from this in English.
With your help my students will be able to achieve their learning goals while uplifting their self esteem.
They will learn faster and feel better about themselves. Technology allows for them to learn so much more at a faster pace. We thank you for your consideration and support!
