This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Glass Making art can address the impact of COVID-19 and lack of in-person learning by providing a creative outlet for students to express themselves and cope with the challenges of the pandemic. It can serve as a form of therapy and stress relief, helping students to relax and find solace during these difficult times.

By offering glass making resources, students can engage in hands-on activities that promote learning and skill development.

The process of glass making requires the use of science, math, and problem-solving skills. As students learn about the properties of glass and different techniques, it can stimulate their intellectual growth and expand their knowledge in these areas.

Moreover, glass making art can also contribute to students' overall well-being. Engaging in creative activities has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The act of creating something beautiful and tangible can give students a sense of accomplishment and boost their self-esteem. In times of isolation and limited social interactions, glass making can also be a way for students to connect with others virtually, sharing their creations, and participating in online workshops or communities.

Overall, glass making art can serve as a versatile and therapeutic outlet for students impacted by COVID-19. It provides a means through which they can continue their academic learning by exploring various subjects through the lens of glass making. Additionally, it promotes emotional well-being by offering a creative and engaging activity that encourages self-expression and personal growth.
