My Project

Our students use their CNC machine and 3D printers extensively to turn designs they create on the computer into real, functioning robot parts. CNC machines and 3D printers are used extensively in real world manufacturing and engineering. Learning how to use these machines gives our students the chance to develop manufacturing skills that they can use in their future careers.

Our CNC router and 3D printer require supplies and parts so that they can continue running and be a teaching tool for our students!

Our students are able to use CAD software to create models of parts to be 3D printed or CNCed. They then use additional software to help make those parts into functioning pieces using one of the two machines. This gives them both design and technical experience, as well as requiring them to trouble shoot an issues they may have.

Parts for our CNC router will give our students the chance to create robot parts out of a variety of other materials, not just metal. This will give them more experience with the materials that we use on our robot and that are used in a variety of industries. Proper storage and maintenance for our 3D printer filament with help make our students' prints successful.

We are so excited to continue giving our students access to these important real-world tools and machines!
