My Project

My students thrive when learning is hands- on and fun. These students are pulled for math intervention because they are on the cusp of being on grade level in math.

The materials requested in this grant will allow them to explore core math and STEM concepts in engaging, meaningful ways and support differentiated instruction.

The tiles and legos will develop spatial reasoning ,critical thinking, and problem solving as they build structures and explore patterns. In addition, the play doh will be used to model 2D and 3D shapes, explore fractions part to whole relationships and demonstrate measurement and comparison. For many learners, these activities make math come alive! With your support , we can give students the opportunity to learn by doing and discover the joy in math and STEM concepts!
