My Students

We have large class sizes with students of varying backgrounds and learning styles at our school. Despite our differences, our students recognize each other's strengths and diversity.

Our students love coming to school and learning, especially when they get to collaborate on STEM tasks.

They are bright, curious, inquisitive learners who enjoy solving real world problems and authentic learning. Our goal is for all students to be outstanding wise learners for life. This isn't just a goal teachers have set. It is part of our school culture. It is who we are and what we do.

My Project

One of the most exciting things we learn about in sixth grade is world history. I want to bring history to life by having my students design and create chariots. They will then learn how to code and compete to see which chariot works best with their Sphero robot. Another project I want to do is have students build catapult's from Lego's and collect data from them. They will then interpret their data by using statistics and graphing.

We need STEM and literacy resources in order to integrate social studies.
