This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have been teaching science for 5 years, and I find that our curriculum lacks independent reading books. If the students finish their work, they always love to learn more about the subject matter. What better way to do this than to give them brand-new, colorful, and exciting books to read independently?
I hope these books will give them the tools to learn more in-depth about the various topics we cover.
I work in an area where the children do not go to the library very often and having these materials will help excite them and hopefully get them to want to learn more.
