Bring Our Learning Together: Help Us Bind Our Voices
Help me give my students access to a class binding machine to turn their social studies projects into polished, professional booklets they’ll be proud to create and share.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an incredible group of middle schoolers at a Title I school in San Antonio, Texas. Our students are curious, creative, and eager to express their learning in meaningful ways. Many come from low-income households and don’t always have access to resources that help bring their hard work to life. Despite this, they continue to rise to every challenge with resilience and pride.
My Project
We are requesting a binding machine and binding supplies so our students can publish their own work in a professional and empowering way. From creating historical journals and persuasive essays to class anthologies, study guides, and student created textbooks, a binding machine will help us transform paper packets into polished publications.
Instead of loose handouts that often get lost, we’ll be able to assemble student created booklets, interactive notebooks, review guides, and even classroom portfolios. This will not only reinforce organization and responsibility, but also allow students to see themselves as authors, historians, and leaders in their own learning.
The Impact
By turning classroom work into bound materials, students will take greater pride in their learning. This simple tool will help foster ownership, creativity, and confidence in how they demonstrate mastery in Social Studies and beyond. It’s also an essential tool to support our project-based and portfolio assessments.
Please help us bring our classroom publications to life!
