My students need an iPod with a sound speaker so they can access a variety of music in the classroom. The speaker tower will also provide music for Career Day shows.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember when you performed at school. When the lights came on and the sound started to blare, it was time to show the school all you had learned in your class with your teacher. The items that I have requested will allow students to have that feeling.
Students today have music all around them.
It is in the home, car, and even in personal iPods and cell phones. Students also bring that urge to hear music, rhythms, and beats in the class. As an educator, I can incorporate music with the learning styles that many students can associate with. With California having a big music industry, it would be sad to think that students can't show their talent at an elementary school age.
My Project
Students will be allowed to perform, recite poems, and even practice fluency and listen to stories with the use of the iPod. It is essential for keeping up with the technology in the 21 century. These activities are just a few things that students can do with the items that I have requested. My students will learn that technology is accessible to all students, not just affluent students. They will learn how to use and operate the equipment. They will technologically inclined. They will also have the experiences of performing, which improves diction, self esteem, public speaking, and vocal presences. These experiences will change students' lives for the better.
Students in inner city schools where resources are limited, will be able to have the same level of enrichment as other more affluent schools.
Allowing students to use and operate technology like this will benefit them not only while in elementary school, but for the rest of their lives. Knowing how to use technology is a skill that no one can ever take away. Students will know that there are skills that they will never lose. Any amount donated will change their lives forever.
