This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My high school students are victims of a trending decline in funds for new books. Combined with the extreme importance of providing texts with multicultural themes, and developing critical thinking skills, new texts are the most important item I can provide to my students.
The first book set I have chosen will teach students how to read critically, and will develop their reading skills across the board.
The second book set I have chosen will provide numerous short stories written by a variety of Black writers, with a variety of themes.
More than half of students from low‑income households
