Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are three and four year-olds from an inner city. They are very curious about the world around them, and I want to provide them with ample opportunities to learn and achieve their goals. The urban area that they are from provides many cultural experiences for the students. We want to provide a safe place for the students to come together and learn from each other about what makes each of them special; that is why we are a National School of Character. We are exploring the opportunity to become an Eco-School USA and the students enjoy learning new ways to help the environment and save the planet.
My Project
We work so hard every day to extend vocabulary, language, and skills in the classroom. We use Scholastic resources in the classroom to engage the students and it always helps them understand concepts. With these resources they are comfortable with the topics, and it helps them achieve more and increase their language skills.
I don't think there is a better way to help the students extend what they know and what they have learned better than with Scholastic Magazines in both English and Spanish!
It will help connect home and school in a unique way that will engage the whole family in the student's education.
