Bring learning to life with visual supports for our students.
Help me give my students with disabilities a colored printer to create visuals and adaptive worksheets.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Sadek's classroom raised $581
This project is fully funded
My Project
This project focuses on our most vulnerable population of students in a self- contained setting for students with disabilities. Due to our students' multiple disabilities, many of them, face a multitude of barriers to reach their potentials due to their needs in areas such a fine and gross motor skill development, as well as communication abilities and physical therapy needs.
Many of our students are confined to a wheelchair and communicate with us through the mode of an adaptive communication device AAC
They select from choices by eye gazing, pointing or verbalization during lessons and interact with the activities through visuals, picture symbols and sensory exploration
This colored printer will allow our students to access visuals and picture symbols due to their needs in areas such as emerging verbal and literacy skills which will help them reaching their potentials and individualized education program goals.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
