My Project

As a high school teacher, I am privileged to work with an amazing group of students who bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong desire to learn to our classroom every day. My students come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique talents and perspectives that make our learning community vibrant and dynamic. They are hardworking and dedicated and constantly inspire me with their resilience and determination.

The specific items I am requesting are hand drums, essential for learning rhythm and musicality skills in a general music class.

My students are excited to start their journey as musicians, but are limited by our lack of resources as a school. I want to make sure that not only do they *learn* about music, but they are able to MAKE music! These drums would make a world of difference to their ability to connect with music and each other in our arts program.

My goal for this project is to equip my students with the necessary tools to succeed academically and to foster a well-organized, engaging, and supportive learning environment. With these supplies, I can ensure that every student has what they need to stay organized, focused, and motivated.
