My Students
Our 500 students at our elementary school come from diverse backgrounds. Our library program is working to provide books that represent this diversity in the library collection.
Help these students find books that will represent different cultures and help them see themselves in books.
My Project
Students need to see themselves and their culture represented in books, but they also need to see other cultures represented in books.
This project seeks to increase diversity to the GRES library collection by adding representation of our multicultural society. This is just a start to making the collection more accessible. Students need culturally diverse books to see them selves as well as to learn about people that are different from them to better understand the world we live in.
Library funds have been difficult to come by due to COVID, please help support our library program and give these students diverse books.
