My Project
My forensic science class has a unique interdisciplinary activity that gets dozens of uses throughout the year, allows students to express themselves, and brings about questions on sustainability and modernity. When I was tasked with adding a unit to my forensic science class. I really wanted to push critical thinking and observation skills. Inspired by the dollhouse murder scenes, students are excited to fantasize living quarters of their dreams, build models of them, and decorate them to their liking. However, the time it takes for quality, realistic, accurate construction is beyond the scope and endurance for students. With 3D printers, wood working, and assembly line volunteers, much of the construction components and panels are premade and available to speed students construction of their spaces. However, the time it takes to create and decorate with quality scale furniture is still a lacking point.
By donating to this project, you'll help incorporate and streamline this art activity into the forensic science class.
Students will be able to enjoy decorating their crime scenes for realistic lived in spaces. Increasing the speed of which the scenes are prepared will more rapidly progress students towards practicing critical thinking and observation skills in a unique and memorable way.
